The purpose of this project is to innovate a new interdisciplinary research paradigm called Incentive Design Science, which provides various perspectives for designing social institutions for sustainable developments. More precisely, we integrate AI and optimization techniques with microeconomics, game theory, and behavioral economics, develop a general theory for incentive design science and evaluate the developed theory via laboratory experiment. Application domains include, but not limited to, public school choice, hospital-residency matching, public project bidding, and spectrum auctions. We will also make policy recommendations, provide software libraries, and develop web services.
This project is financially supported by JSPS KAKENHI grant number 20H00609, whose duration is from April 2020 to March 2023.
